The digital camera functions like an imaging machine—akin to an MRI or CT scanner—capturing unseen visual data that reveals hidden aspects of its subjects. Resilience Flows in Our Veins originates from a photograph I took in 2013 during a drought in Singapore, depicting a dried plant at night. By adjusting the colour curves of the image, I uncovered latent hues and tones embedded within the digital capture. These hidden colours suggest an enduring life force within the withered plant, as if it holds onto the hope of revival. This work speaks of the resilience of life, embodying hope, courage, and determination in the face of adversity.
